SettsPlus

SettsPlus is the industry standard Settlement software package for Conveyancers in Western Australia. SettsPlus is a tool for Conveyancers and Solicitors to provide Settlement services to their clients.

 
 

Updates



  • How do I update SettsPlus to the latest version?


    ** SettsPlus can only be updated on the Server(Computer that runs Codebase), Make sure everyone is logged off SettsPlus **

    ** For large sites please allow up to 30 minutes for the installation and the Database upgrade. So please be patient



    *** If you wish to view the release notes before installing, please click here ***



    1) First Check the version and build number: Click on the “?” icon on the top right hand side of SettsPlus

    2) Backup the SettsPlus database on the Server

          Go to Administration -> Backup Database

          Close SettsPlus and make sure every SettsPlus is closed on every user.

          Close Codebase on the SERVER(if its running as a service, pause S4Service.)


    3) Launch SettsPlusUpdater.exe (Red House Icon on the Desktop)

          Only if you don't have the icon, download and install it from our website SettsPlus Updater Installer

          Click on the Upgrade Button


    4) Let it download the latest version

          This could take some time so please be patient

          Once complete, install as usual (click next and use default settings until installation is complete).


    Important:

    After the update has been installed, start Codebase and run SettsPlus on the server

    Login to SettsPlus


    (The following steps will only happen if there are database changes)

    You might be asked "do you wish to update the database", click YES

    Be patiently and let the database to be rebuilt, it might take some time.


    5) Once the database is updated

          SettsPlus should now be updated, to verify, check the version and build number: Click on the “?” icon on the top right hand side of SettsPlus, ensure that you are running Build 30



    6) Client Side Update

          The Clients can start SettsPlus, and the following message will appear:

               "The installed version of SettsPlus does not match the one installed on the server.

               SettsPlus will now shutdown and install the new version, Please select NEXT to all the questions.

               After the new version is installed please restart your SettsPlus."

          They will be asked to update, simply click, YES ans NEXT to the flowing questions, until all is installed
