4.5 - Present Via List

Present Cheques/Receipts – this locks the entire Trust and no other user will be able to perform Trust functions while you are presenting.

Print your “Online” Statement from your Bank.

In “Trust”, go to “Present”, then “Present via List”.

Check the Statement from the Bank and enter the closing date of the Bank Statement (in the Current Date field) and the closing amount of the Bank Statement in Statement Balance field.

“Tick” in SettsPlus each amount in turn from the oldest onwards and also adjust the “Presented” date to the day prior to the current days date or the date of the Bank Statement. If there is more than a screen of receipts and cheques, use the slide bar of the right to move down the screen or you are likely to accidently tick an incorrect line. If you do tick an item accidently, click on it again to untick it.

Work from the bottom of the statement upwards and you will see that the balance on the Bank Statement will match the Calculated balance as you go up the screen. Once all items are correctly matched and balanced there should be a $0.00 difference. The Balance on both the Bank Statement and the SettsPlus should be the same.

If the Balances all match, select “Present”. If there is a Difference or the Balance does not match, search for the amount on the Bank Statement and/or check for an amount with transposed figures or incorrectly entered.

Present via CSV is another option which allows you to download your bank statements in the CSV format. Then present via list then mark as per CSV.
