SettsPlus

SettsPlus is the industry standard Settlement software package for Conveyancers in Western Australia. SettsPlus is a tool for Conveyancers and Solicitors to provide Settlement services to their clients.

 
 


4.1 - Trust Account Status, Receipts, Issue Cheques and EFTs


Show Trust Account Status gives a quick summary view of the whole of your Trust Account.

Receipting

Go to Trust, Banking and select Receive Receipts. Enter the name of the person/parties the funds have been received from, then enter the details, you can select F1 to select automatic details, such as Costs and Disbursements, Settlement Funds, etc... Enter the Amount and in Receipt Type, select the type of cheque/direct deposit. If known, enter the Cheque number, BSB and account, then the Drawers name on the cheque. Press OK. Go to Print Cheques/Receipts and press OK. The Receipt will print.

For the Receipt of clients funds or other funds prior to Settlement, you enter the details and credit amount in the Statements, Extra Charges screen for the amount as a credit to show on your clients Statement.

Issuing Cheques

Firstly, for Handwritten, Tick the Handwritten box, enter the payee, details and amount, press OK, then from the go to Print Cheques/Receipts and print (although nothing will print this records the cheque you have written in SettsPlus).

Secondly for EFT, tick, enter the information and the confirmation will print automatically after pressing OK, then log into your Bank to process the EFT there.

Thirdly for Cheques from the Cheque Printer, enter the information and then press OK, then go to “Print Cheques/Receipts”, then OK to print.

Lastly Printing Autopayment Cheques from the Balance Sheet. In the Balance Sheet, tick the cheques to be drawn, check the payee names are correct. On this screen there are four cheques to be drawn.

Then Go to, “Trust”, then “Auto Payments” select the correct file by ticking the box to the right. Double click in the details area to confirm the correct cheques are to be generated. If correct, press “OK” then go to Print Cheques/Receipts and Cheques will print. You can then check your ledgers to see the details of the cheques drawn
