4.3 - Journalling

Once settlement is completed the Automatic Journals and/or cheques will not process until the balance sheet has been finalised and locked.

Manual Journal Entries – this area is usually used to transfer funds between files or to correct an error (you may have receipted or drawn a cheque on an incorrect file). Make sure you are in the correct File for funds to be transferred from. Enter the File Reference for the Funds being transferred to.

“F1” on Details to select the type of transfer of funds or a description of why the funds are being transferred. Add the amount to be transferred, then press “OK”. Double check the ledgers of both files to make sure the journaling is correct.

Automatic Journaling information is shown in the Cheques section of the balance sheet, with the ledgers to be journaled to on the far right of the screen. Go to Trust and select Auto Journal. All the files that can be journaled are shown. Select the correct file by a “Tick” in the box on the right.

Then Double-click to open the details. Check the details are correct, press OK, then press Journal. Your auto-journaling is complete.
