1.9 - Notepad

Notepad is your record of letters, faxes, emails, statements, conversations, etc., for each individual file. When you print a letter, print from the Add-Ins screen and select PDF all to print, a PDF copy will then be saved in notepad. You may also select PDF to save a copy without printing. Emails can be saved in Notepad by leaving Notepad open, then left-clicking the email, holding the key down and dragging the email down to the SettsPlus Icon then drag up into Notepad, then release the key. You can drop emails such as Landgate Searches, emails from clients, other sett agents, etc. Same also applies with any emails you send, but in this case you can change the Subject in sent emails to make searching easy).

You can reopen the emails and PDFs in notepad by double clicking on the item to then reprint or for statements you can email them directly to a client from Notepad.

You may wish to scan and email the O&A to Notepad when opening a file to hold an electronic copy.

Press “Add” to type your file notes for conversations with Clients, Banks and others. This area is also for a couple of lines, e.g. recommend to clients that they seek legal advice or if you are going on Annual Leave to give other Conveyancers a couple of lines so they have an update of the file status.
