1.6 - Third Parties, Strata Companies, Local Authorities

Clients

The Clients Icon has all the Clients you have entered in Setts+ kept in this screen. Search by Surname, then either initials or Christian names, each client has their own allocated code. The contact details for each Client, addresses, mobile, home phone, emails are saved here and can be retrieved to enter into new files as required. Adding and amending clients has been covered in the Topic 1.1

Third Parties

Icon is where the Real Estate Agents, Banks, Lawyers, Settlement Agents and Strata Companies details and information are stored. Each has their own Code and can be searched by Company Name. Entering a new contact was covered in the earlier screens for Reps and Real Estate Agents. As there are six spaces to enter a Company Code, you may wish to consider four alpha and two numeric numbers or five alpha and one numeric number for the code.

Strata Company

To Add a new Strata Company, go to Third Parties, select ADD. Give the Strata Company a code, for Company Class, select Strata. Then enter the details for the Strata Company. The Enquiry Fee is entered at the top right hand screen, usually $100.00 with GST Code G to bring up the GST of $10.00 – but check as some Strata Companies are not registered for GST.

Local Authority

To search for a Shire/Council, type in the name and press the Find button. Then press the Display button. You may amend or add any details in the screen. The Enquiry Fee from this screen is automatically generated in the Statements screen for the Shire Rates. To Add a new Council/Shire, press the Add button and enter the contact details. Should a Shire/Council no longer exist due to amalgamation, you may also delete the details from this screen, but make sure there are no current files for the Shire/Council as deleting them in this screen will remove the current Enquiry Fee in the Statements screen of current files.

To Amend, search for the Authority, “Display” and amend details, then OK.
